Very decorative ‘Chiavari’ chair designed in the early 19th Century by Gaetano Descalzi. Of course this chair is produced in the famous Italian village of Chiavari. Around the 1950’s I think. The chair is made of ebonised wood with a new black velvet seat. In very good condition with only minimal wear and tear. H x w x d = 98-45 x 43 x 46 cm / 38,6-17,7 x 16,9 x 18,1 inch.
