Could anyone help me with this please? Does anyone know what kind of lacquer/varnish was originally used on Race BA tables on the holoplast veneer? The marketing blurb says something along the lines of it can withstand a cigarette burn, if that gives any clues.
I have a table that's been in the family since new, but the lacquer has worn away, and I'd like to have it restored. If possible I'd like to keep it as true to the original as possible. Subject to product availability obviously, but until I know what it is I can't find that out. I know someone with a spray room who I'm hoping to ask, but they do new furniture not restoration. I'm sure they will be able to do a great job, but I'll need to tell them what I want them to use.
Any suggestions welcome, thank you for your help.
