Off topic: DrPoulet, would you like to tell us what you eventually did with your rocker and how the outcome was? These old threads read like good stories to me but sometimes it

Mark, you are welcome anytime, but be forewarned I only have Mezcal on hand, so even if you show up with pants on, they will undoubtedly not remain that way.

Turns out this rocker was one of the brown ones originally. The sellers husband sanded off the brown when it became worn. Maybe that

HI herringbone. I still have the rocker. It is half stripped, waiting for some more. I must admit that stripping paint is not my favorite part of a restoration project and it qI find it super hard to get motivated...

It willl probably look awesome in a couple of year 🙂

Hi DrPoulet

If you still own the chair, I would like to write you some questions regarding to exact dimensions of it. Would it be possible?

Please write me back to natti.eder@gmail.com

Au revoir!

Natti

Natti, which dimensions are you looking for? Might as well just post them on the forum for future reference. I have a 1982 production black lacquer J16.

Earlier today I got responded from other forum member willing to take up those measurements.

I can check these things this evening after work. Like I said previously, probably best to put this on the actual forum for documentation sake. It may help another person, ID a fake(if there are even any out there?), etc.

This is actually a better image to enlarge full scale but it is not a high resolution image from that Hans Wegner museum website.

Natti - I don't know if you are doing shop drawings first or you are just using overall dimensions and replicate this rocker by eye. 20 years ago(during the Stone Age), full scale shop drawings were drawn by hand first (top, side, rear etc.) but now, there are resources available online all drawn up and can be printed to full size by going directly to the source.
