Has anyone here repaired a white formica top on a original round tulip table? There is about a 1.5in x1.5in chip on the edge showing the wood of the table. Can the old formica somehow be removed and scrapped off and a new piece be put down or maybe fill chipped section and then sand existing surface and lay a new piece down?i know people have recommenced just having a piece of carrera marble cut but that seems not only being very expensive as well as being insanly heavy and a big risk of it cracking or falling just want to see what people have done in the past. thanks
