I just purchased this piece at the local Salvation Army store and I'm planning to list it for sale as soon as I can find out any information about it. I can't even tell if it's new or vintage.

Clearly it's a more Midcentury design but is it from the 50's?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I can't find anything about it online.

Thank you!

Roche Bobois were originally 2 separate companies that merged in the 1960s. The 2 owners met in a furniture fair in Copenhagen in 1960 and decided to join forces to import Danish / scandinavian furniture to France.

I do not know exactly when they started their own line but I have seen a few of their catalogs from the period 1960-1965 and 95% of the pieces presented were Scandinavian imports.

Your sofa is definitely not from the 50s (because Roche Bobois did not exist back then) and I would say not before 1965 neither (as it was mainly an import company).

Judging by the look of the branded grey fabric I would not even say that it is very old...

Ok I did a little bit of research and it appears that this logo has been used from 1988 to 2004 approx.
