Kai kristiansen 42 Z chair  

Just posting some info for discussion or reference.

I have 8x 42s that are being restored. We noticed that the swivel (not the pivot point) in most of my chairs is just a hole that is 9mm drilled in the wood. Some have opened up over time > 9mm. Then we noticed that a few of my chairs also have a metal insert.... it also has a 9mm ID & a 1mm metal liner inserted in to the hole to strengthen the site.

I am talking to a guy to machine inserts for the chairs where it's missing.
