Grete Jalk Sofa Cushions

Just came to my mind that I could write to the manufacturer and ask him directly. But could not find Glostrup Mobelfabrik on google. Does anybody know if the manufacturer still exists?

But can't you take the measurements from a photo? That's how I do it. You even have a chair at hand, so you know exactly how long the distance is from, say, the bottom to the top of the armrests. Take a good historical picture of a chair with an original cushion (google will present you one), enlarge it as much as possible, measure the distance from the bottom to the top of the armrest and the hight of the cushion and relate it to the original dimensions. The result will be pretty close to what your are looking for.

Is that definitely a Grete Jalk design? Is that a common misattribution or am I mistaking it for another design often attributed to Jalk?

Don't have that much experience with Grete Jalk. Had a coffee table from Grete Jalk couple months ago. (At least the seller was very confident, that the table is from Jalk). 

That had also a sticker from Glostrup. My sofa frame not only have the sticker from Glostrup, but also 

same details as the coffee table, like these black screws etc. That's why I think the connection to Jalk should be very likely. 🙂 

According to the DFI this is a design by Svend Aage Eriksen. Model GM 5. They give a number of references.

I think you are right. There seem to exist 2 very similar easy chair models from Glostrup. One with 4 back bars by Grete Jalk, and the one with 5 back bars by Svend Age Eriksen. Maybe a later slightly revised version of a once successful model?

Here seem to be definitely the two from Grete Jalk. 

Yes they're Svend Eriksen, often thought to be by Grete. They're 3' medium density foam on seats and 3' softer density on back. I sometimes use 4' on seats with the 3' on back which also works well.

Looks good! We’ll done! I‘m glad the measurement method worked. You maybe could have given two or three cm more depth to to seat so it would stick out a bit in the front. But otherwise…
