Hi all, please can anyone help... i have this beautiful chair but the leather is completely ripped. I've asked a leather furniture repairer and they arent will to do it so was wondering if i should go to a saddle repairer? Problem is i've seen some really bad repairs to this type of lounge chair so slightly worried about how they will repair it if i send it away somewhere. Any advice much appreciated. Thank you
I you are asking someone to repair that tears while keeping the leather and with any expectation that the chair will be able to be sat in again then I can see why the job would be turned down. You probably need the entire sling redone if the leather has gotten to the point it would tear like that. Or at minimum those torn panels need to be replaced. And you need to use a vegetable tanned leather of matching thickness to the original stuff.
