I have a pair of oak round chairs that have been painted. Once I get the paint off what finish would have been on them? They are Johannes Hansen 503 models. If they were teak I would do an oil finish, but being oak I am unsure. There is a pair of oak ones on ebay right now being sold as teak and they appear to have been redone with an oil finish and look wrong to me. But I truly do not know. Spar varnish? Soap? something else?Thanks
