Restoration of Risom & Snelling Chairs - Cotton Webbing
Hi- and thanks for your help.
I had a browse on Ebay but nothing which approximates the colours required. If you go to the Knoll website or a distributor for Risom webbed chairs (C.1950)the colours of the webbing used are soft & muted which is indicative of this period.
The manufacturers & designers never/seldom used or specified hard colours. There must be some distributor/designer/upholsterer who has some contact/manufacturer for the supply of coloured webbing I am trying to source. Regards, Richard
Here is the link
but it isn't 100% cotton as you asked for, and some of the colours are 'hard'
If you specifically wanted 100% cotton in a muted tone I'd suggest a natural or a jute?
(both of which are available on eBay, and the natural could be easily dyed to any colour/ tone)
