I bought a Thonet off Craig's List and its vinyl is fairly beat up. There are inch long rips on the back rest and seat. I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to restore the vinyl (patches? glue?) or would this chair be a good candidate for reupholstering? Has anyone tried to do this themselves? Or should I leave it to the professionals?
