Hi all! I recently came across an old zenith eames arm chair with the large shock mounts, rope edge, and an x base for $25! The only problem is that it's in sad shape. There are 3 holes where the base was attached with bolts and there are about 3 decent cracks in the front of the chair. Does anyone know how to go about repairing the fiberglass without it looking noticable and without me having to paint it, or should I just let my brother (who works on and paints cars) fix the fiberglass and paint the chair? I've always wanted a crazy colored eames chair, but I was going to see if there was any way to salvage it before I went that route. Thanks!

plastic eames
I hate to say it but nothing looks worse than a painted bucket chair the best thing you can do is send it us for a vinyl or fabric redo . Fabric in a early eames fabric would look cool
The fact it is a Zenith chair with
holes and breaks looses all value
have your brother glue it and have it redone it will be cool.
