Hello!
Picked up this table without knowing it was by Willy Rizzo for Cidue.
Great looking coffee table from the seventies , but need some love and restoration!
So I am hoping you guys will give a few tips on how to make this table shine again 🙂
The table got quite a lot of scratches on the metal surface !
I believe it is steel, so probably it would not be so hard to refinish, but some of the scratches are quite deep 🙁 So your advice would be appreciated here 🙂
The other problem is a half inch chip in the lacquered glossy surface a few as many tiny scratches !
Hope there is way to fix that too 🙂
I know I could get someone to do it, but I would love to challenge myself and accomplish this project it with my own hands 🙂
Let me know how the restoration can be done and what tools or materials would I need!
Below is a link to the gallery of images!
Thanks,
best wishes,

I think you
could use some kind of tinted epoxy to fill the hole.
The top, get a 3M headlight restoration kit for $20. Sand with 500 grit, then 800 grit, wet sand at 3000 grit and finish with a sturdy sponge and polishing compound. I used that combo kit on the (plastic) headlights of my van and they look new, no swirls, nothing. As for the metal.. I don't know.
