Hello!
Picked up this table without knowing it was by Willy Rizzo for Cidue.
Great looking coffee table from the seventies , but need some love and restoration!
So I am hoping you guys will give a few tips on how to make this table shine again
The table got quite a lot of scratches on the metal surface !
I believe it is steel, so probably it would not be so hard to refinish, but some of the scratches are quite deep So your advice would be appreciated here
The other problem is a half inch chip in the lacquered glossy surface a few as many tiny scratches !
Hope there is way to fix that too
I know I could get someone to do it, but I would love to challenge myself and accomplish this project it with my own hands
Let me know how the restoration can be done and what tools or materials would I need!
Below is a link to the gallery of images!
Thanks,
best wishes,
Dim

I think you
could use some kind of tinted epoxy to fill the hole.
The top, get a 3M headlight restoration kit for $20. Sand with 500 grit, then 800 grit, wet sand at 3000 grit and finish with a sturdy sponge and polishing compound. I used that combo kit on the (plastic) headlights of my van and they look new, no swirls, nothing. As for the metal.. I don't know.
