Hey guys I just bought this Dat-99 today and have removed the Naugahyde covering which was only taped on the shell. It was a yellow shell underneath which is awesome but now I am left with these strange stains on the arms around where the tape was.
My question is how would I go about removing these stains? I dont want to resort to sanding them out but if I have to I will. I already cleaned the shell with a magic eraser to get rid of tape residue and some black marks but it did not make a dent on these stains.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Paint thinner (mineral spirits) -- not lacquer thinner -- can be tried without harming the shell. (To be certain, try any substance on the underside of the chair.) Another useful cleaner is powdered cleanser, like Comet. I usually apply a bit of the cleanser to a damp (not wet) sponge, or dampen the surface of the shell and sprinkle on a small amount of cleanser, and rub gently. If this does not work, do not continue to scrub, as the texture can begin to change, getting smoother and shinier.
I would try these two methods on different parts of the chair; don't try one on top of the other. Follow up all stain-removing efforts with a wash, perhaps using a bit of dishwashing liquid detergent, followed by a rinse, and towel dry. Apply any cleaning efforts to clean and dry parts of the shell.

What about going to a marine store and getting a bottle of FSR -- Fiberglass Stain Remover? It's probably the route that I'd go.
