Help please, I need a recommendation! Is there anyone in the NYC area who can repair a 10-year old Ekornes chair. The metal piece that connects the back of the armrest to the back of the chair has been sheared in half. I can send photos but cannot figure out how to attach them here.

Sounds
like it needs a weld, but have you contacted Ekornes about spare parts?

Ann at Ekornes was very helpful and assured me that it was simple enough to repair myself. She will be sending directions along with the part via FedEx gratis. The idea of repairing this myself is daunting lets see how it goes...
