DUX coffee table loose legs  

I have a DUX coffee table with removable legs. On one end of the table the legs are quite loose. I call them interlocking legs because there are pegs that fit into holes and it's a quite intricate design.
I have taken them apart and compared the loose legs to the tight legs and can see no difference. But when put back together, one end is still quite loose.
Does anyone know what's going on inside that I can't see to keep these legs from tightening like they should?
