Anyone familiar with Furnette shelving units... Repair etc  

Hi!I have these 2 Furnette shlving units that I hav had for at least 20 years. I have always struggled to find the best location for them (togeher) so they get shuffled around here and there.The laquer is now failing, the brass is very oxidized and the bottom base is missing on one and the box that holds all the drawers is kind of saggy.A) are they worth restoring, I see them advertised for 2-3K, but I find that hard to believe. I've taken the peeling laquer off some of the shelves but am not sure if I should continue!  What is the best way to go about a restoration of these?  thanksAdria
