Hello! I was able to snag a George Nelson executive desk off CL a while back but it needs some work. The last owner put a large sticker on one of the drawers. What is the best way to remove this without doing damage to the desk? Thanks!

If you heat the sticker a bit with a hair dryer, it might help you peel it off.  If there is sticker residue left behind, a mild solvent that will typically always remove it, but not cause damage to a finish, is Mineral Spirits.

Warming the residue often helps a great deal.  Also, sticky stuff sticks to sticky stuff... I use Scotch or other clear type tape and stick stick stick with it wrapped around my finger and it gets up most gunk.

Most things work better when they are warm, or at least not cold.
