I recently came across a bubble chair with some surface scratching and some areas
that had what appears to be glue rubbed around the opening.
I'm afraid to use a heavy solvent to try and remove the glue , but I'm wondering if anyone
knows a product that is safe to use on this type of plastic?
And if it is possible to fill in the scratch marks?
I've taken a couple of picture, but it's difficult to pick up detail since it's a clear surface.
Any advice is much appreciated !

Acrylglas acrylic (PMMA) similar to Plexiglas, Lucite, Perspex, etc. Safe solvents would include vinegar, alcohol, white spirits. Avoid lacquer thinner and anything containing methylene chloride. Sometimes, mechanical removal (scraping) of surface accretions followed by sanding through the appropriate grit sequence and polishing is best.
There is really no practical method for the average person to effectively fill deep scratches or gouges. Polishing compounds can improve clarity/appearance sometimes to a surprising degree. There are services that specialize in aircraft windshield restoration if you want professional consultation
