@waldorf, Perhaps I'm ignorant because I avoid the stuff, but aren't all vodkas fundamentally the same? I understand that there are differences in proportions of alcohol to water, but...
When it comes to honoring our dear old Auntie, a Quaalude (or four) or a bong hit (or four) seems somehow more appropriate.
maybe I get it wrong because English is not my mother tongue. I have no experience with such things but have just quoted Mark's farewell greeting, which he often use, and hope not to have offended anyone
kind regards
@waldorf, No offense taken! It was funny to read and seemed very much like something Mark would have said.
Welcome back to the forum! It is nice to see some old familiar names returning recently.
@ tktoo2
every now and then I stop by here in the forum and am happy to read about some respected names. sdr, spanky, ffw, lexi, cdsilva, tktoo2 ...
you have been and have been the engine of this forum.
Even if a lot has been lost, it is nice to see what is still there in terms of knowledge, ability, humor and articulation. Unfortunately, the usability of the forum is rather semi-professional so that a not inconsiderable part of the fun falls by the wayside.
I not only miss Mark but also Alix and all the others as a community.
thanks again for being here
and Andrew;)
Best regards

@waldorf, You are too kind, but flattery will get you ...everywhere!
I visit the forum out of habit (one of many, not all good). The pandemic has been a difficult time for so many. It's natural to seek human interaction when we've all been cooped up under duress, even if only through words on a screen. Yearning for the old days is a symptom, too, I think.
The more social among us, like Mark, suffer the most it often seems. I like to imagine him in a safe, well appointed place attired in stylish lounge wear, fine Italian slippers, surrounded by close friends, enjoying an expertly crafted cocktail (or four), and torturing the group with slideshows of his old DA Forum selfies.

not trying to diminish the aunt mark love-in here but is objectworship still active on the forum ? when i used to follow the designaddict forum religiously i remember him as also having a really good, really dry sense of humour.
anyway, i've only been back for a short while but i haven't seem him posting at all.
