I bought a great book on Amazon for $22.00
I saw it tonight and Borders for $65.00 that alone is reason enough to buy this book .
It is The Design Encyclopedia
The book is 831 pages of every single frickin thing you ever want to know about design and it is fantastic. makes google look real weak.
The book is buy Mel Byars and the copy i bought was in pristine condtion under the used section,
Now each and every one needs to go get a copy and we can all swap how smart we are. until you get your copy I will be the head of the class. and be the smartest guy on design addict . apologies to KOEN,who is the smartest and DC Wilson who is pulling a close second..

too bad for the rest of us ... it appears the law of supply and demand is alive and well. the big news of the good price must have hit our amazon friends right in the purse. the new and used price is now just a couple of skins away from the retail. the only good news is that i just saved about twenty bucks by not buying anything at all.

and got one on eBay for $8.00, an ex-library copy. Gave it to me as a gift.

Their is a big difference ...
Their is a big difference between the 1994 copy and the 2004 copy the new one has a lot more pictures, and of course more info, but since i have had this on my desk for a week and looked at it a lot their is still a lot of info that they did not publish.
I guess I will just have to write my own encyclopedia. someday

i have the old one and the new one and it is amazing how they changed it that much, at first i thought it was one of those deals that Schiffer pulls on you, mostly books by Leslie Pina, they change the cover and you think it is a completely different book, you open it up and say i have seen this before, all it is, is just a cover change.
They are good and doing that to us design addicts.
