Wegner CH29's  

I have never seen that Carl Hansen stamp before, but based on the fact that it is Danish, it is not from the 1960s. Send an email to Carl Hansen and ask. Report back here. I am curious what they say.

Leif, I have recently done a google image search on CH31 chairs, and found this mark, but you are right saying that the one on the CH29 chairs here reported is rare.

Ernest: That is not the same mark as wcharles posted. And I am not claiming nobody has ever seen it. I just have not and I have done a fair bit of research on rare Carl Hansen marks.

....just to update this.......it took about 3 weeks to get a response from Carl Hansen's email support, but they did get back to me........however, their answer wasn't as detailed or specific as I'd hoped. Here it is..

There isn't anything wrong with the answer.........I appreciate that the person took the time to respond. However, any response that includes "or perhaps a few years later" isn't real precise in my book. I have not often reached out for info in this manner, so maybe it's a case of me needing to adjust my expectations. It's all good though, as I said, I am appreciative of the support staff for responding, and I'll add it to my modest (but growing) bank of knowledge.

Well unless there is reason to suspect the answer is flat out wrong I would take it to mean a fairly precise date range based on what was going on in the larger industry. Probably 57 to 59 or 60.
