Yay finally got an office chair and can kick this brno out the door.

Ebay buy. 70's, Good price 4 star base and no adjust which is just what I wanted but the base tines look a bit thin. Do the table and lounge chair bases have different dimensions?

Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure those bases are indeed "universal", Heath. Though, they came in at least two different diameters scaled proportionally to larger or smaller table tops. Same with "contract" bases.
To my eye, the aluminum group series looks best, as your chair does, with a vintage oxidized patina. The coated versions are just awful in any color. Clear might be the worst with that hideous "aubergine" a close competitor.

I thoight they all came coated, opaque or clear? Thought this one just have an aging coating.
The new white ones look ok but the 5 star nase on any of them looks terrible imo.
Thanks for the tip, now to snag the lounge model.

You're likely correct about the clear coating, Heath. I just notice it mostly on the arms when it gets scratched and chipped.

This chair looks nice to see.... I dont think that there is anything to worry because now a days aluminium bases are more flexible and thin but strong. Continue with these but if it gives you any problem, there will be a 30 days return guarantee. Return it and you will get your money.

So the seat upholstery looks a bit done for. Has anyone reupholstered one, LRF?LUCIFER? What should I watch out for, its a pain isn't it?  I was thinking of just getting a piece of 3-5mm butt hyde and using that but just read that some sort of plastic rod holds things in place within the sides.
