Thank you for confirming that I have a rare (prototype?) Finn Juhl step stool! I'm really excited about it!
I understand that you are a Noble person, so I'm a little disappointed by your offer of such a paltry sum.
I was a good Boy Scout and therefore remain completely trustworthy, but I am NOT a rube so please don't toy with me!
Well, let's start throwing Wegner chairs through the saloon, then. You make firewood out of a NV45 (rosewood). And I go and sell all these Chinese Poet Sofas to traveling greenhorns. They won't notice. The sofas look really good and smell almost like the original. They are worth the money, anyway.

Dear old timers,
We apologize for the way the transition was made. We are a small team working daily on the management of this site, and your comments are of course very important to us.
We took the time to check if our website could support such a database, (forum threads and pictures). We will import the old data (posts and photos related to the forum) gradually, by the end of the month. We sincerely hope, that you will find the information you need.
The Old Timers community is obviously very important to us, and we want you to feel at home here. We therefore invite you to send us your comments and desired changes to the following address: forum@designaddict.com. This way, we can improve the platform and make it as pleasant as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Thanks, Julie, nice to hear from you again. I don't want to seem impatient and I think that many of the regular users know that things take their time. But it surely helps to get an update every now and then, so we know that we are not forgotten. 😀

Thank you again, Julie. And apologies to all for having a bit of fun at our hosts' and guests' expense, but this is what happens when you allow admission to just anyone. Please don't boot me from the forum!
I agree with Noble Herringbone, though, that periodic status updates would be welcome, helpful and appreciated.

I have not visited this forum for a long time and noticed that it has changed. Now I can not find a suitable topic for this decided to contact here.
My wife and I want to get a leather sofa in the hallway. There are two options - one cheaper and the other more expensive, but rather:
- the first option is to buy an old vintage leather sofa from friends and restore it (it's pretty shabby, and there are a couple of scratches)
- the second option is this sofa https://housera.co.uk/chesterfield-sofas/844-chesterfield-sofa.html
The second option costs 1000 more. Therefore, I would like to consult how much restoration will be worth it and is it worth it?

Hi Julie, three days left until the end of march and I don't really see anything happen. Could you please give another update on what we can expect with regard to old threads, pictures and the vast amount of knowledge, that was buried in the forum and that now appears to be inaccessible or even lost?

@ Valentine - That question you can only answer yourself. Do you like that old sofa? Do you care for patina? Then go for it. Do you like that new chesterfield sofa even better? Go and get that then.
