wow the suckers are out on ebay and
we thought 1st dibs was a rip !!!!
Three sellers have listed lucite lamps one of my hobbies and collection treasures,
I know a lot pf things about Karl Springer, as I have known his work for over 30 years not 2 weeks ,
These Jerks are listing these lamps as designed by karl Springer,
Karl Springer made so few Lucite lamps it is not funny, He designed like 10 different syles, had them made up by a local electrical shops in the area and always used a plate that was made up that said KS, These jerks are telling these Johns that these are original Karl Springers when in fact most are made by Royal lamp, These lucite lamps were exstremly popular in the South Florida and in Palm Springs Calf and some NYC area homes. I would love to see any one who sells a lamp and says it was designed and made by Karl Springer get busted, as this is likely saying that painting was painted by Picasso when it was made in China by a 15 year old art student. This is disgusting
