I'm going to say no, and qualify that by saying I doubt that if it is Stag that it is by John and Sylvia Reid. But it's only a guess.

Stag chest
As you know it uses the same style carcas as the John and Sylvia Reid C range chest and I have always seen yours attributed to them. They also designed the awful mahogany minstrel range so your chest would fit in between the two designs.

As far
as I know, this predates their time working for Stag.

Robert
Do you have catalogues or info for dating the Stag range? I would be interested to see what was exactly designed by J&S.
I was under the impression the chest above was produced in the 60s?

1953 . . .
John & Sylvia Ried's first designs for Stag was the original "C" range in 1953 comprised of just one bedroom unit.

Suite
the C range was a whole suite, but I can't find any evidence of the piece at the OP bring designed by J&S Reid.
The Minstrel range (I agree it's quiite horrible) seemed to be borne of an update of another range, and interestingly never advertised as being by John & Sylvia Reid like the C Range was.

Stag
Rocket-vintage do you mean there was just the dressing table in the C range?
Robert I imagine as time went on they became part of the fixtures and fittings at Stag and just produced designs each year or so which is a shame because it is not easy to find out what they did and didnt design, much like the kofod larsen bits for G plan.
StevieG £80 doesnt seem to bad.

When...
When the "C" Range was first introduced in '53 it only consisted of one piece, the dressing table.
Further pieces were added to the range in following years.
EDIT: *only consisted of one bedroom suite

The C Range
was just that, a range.
When they were good they were great, and the company credited them on all the averts (this accrediation is missing from the later (and less stylish) range advertising.
