Apologies for once again not the best photos.
I purchased this solid teak table with the france and son medallion because I liked its simplicity and solid wood. The seller was claiming a finn juhl attribution but I cannot find this table at all in any of my france and son searches .
The skirt on this one and of course detailing on the lovely Finn Juhl 540 model are quite different than this one.
Can anyone suggest another designer? Has anyone seen this model in a catalog or had it themselves.
Also, I was wondering if the France and Son medallion with the serial number can aid in searches at all?
I do not have a clear enough photo of the badge to try until I pick the table up
....thanks for your time

Odd. I've never seen this one before. Usually the very uncommon France and Søn pieces are from the 70s deep in the Cadovius period, and those that I've seen are teak veneer.
France and Søn worked with lots of designers, including Juhl, but I see no reason to think he is especially implicated in this table (unless one is the seller and then the reason derives from financial motivations).
Can we see a photo of the end grain where two boards meet up? I would be curious to confirm it has the correct cutter profile for a F&S piece.
Is there a second foil stamp somewhere under the table? (There are usually two marks on all F&S pieces).
Hi Leif, thank you for visiting this post and commenting.
I am including a few more pictures.
There is only one FF medallion. I am a little confused by the two tag comment on France and Son furniture as I have had a variety of it here in Canada all with only one tag...including Arne fodder lounge chair, talk armchairs and couches, finn jul side table etc. Are you saying there is usually 2 medallions or a medallion and a sticker that may have been lost?
The leaves are shown in the last picture...they have a similar slip in system to the finn jul 540 table. There is a fain embossed number on each side of the table underneath in the wood "224".
I am not sure which wood meeting cutters profile you were asking about? I interpreted that as looking at the interior of the leafs or where the table separates to accommodate the leafs shot of the wood?
Thanks for your time, I am happy to shoot more pics if helpful.
Nearly all France and Søn pieces have two marks. The most noticeable is the medallion (unless it was sold by John Stuart in the USA and has a John Stuart medallion). The second mark is a physical impression in the wood, usually on the opposite side of the piece. And there is gold in the lettering. There were no France and Søn stickers.
As to the profile of the cutter heads: look at the top of the table and identify a glue joint where two teak boards meet, then follow that seam to the edge where the end grain is. I am curious what the glue joint looks like where the two boards meet, but on the end grain. I don't expect it will be a boring straight line seam.
