I don't ask very often but even though I predominantly collect good plastics & fibreglass from the 60's & 70's
does anyone know what, when & where this was made as I kinda like it
It's either late 40's and/or 50's
It's quite large

There are alot of similar...
There are alot of similar ones around like yours or the image you have just posted
I'm always curious to my finds and I've looked all morning on sites that I know
I have a serious book collection that it may be in but it's all crated away..damn!
I paid $10 AUD this morning at a car boot sale
It measures across the dome 44cm so it's large

Now that I have taken more of a look there are a lot of similar types out there, like you said, but none quite the same so far. This one was only cited as "German".

1930's design
This type of lamp is pretty common here in Sweden. It's a 1930's design as far as I know. Christian Dell did similar lamps, but I think it's a quite common style from this period.
