SLEEP IN THE BATH
I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me...
She showed me her room, isn't it good, norwegian wood?
She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere,
So I looked around and I noticed there wasn't a chair.
I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine
We talked until two and then she said, "It's time for bed"
She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh.
I told her I didn't and crawled off to sleep in the bath
And when I awoke, I was alone, this bird had flown
So I lit a fire, isn't it good, norwegian wood.
Bedroom as office.
I'd probably have the bed fold down off the wall and leave the bedroom my home office. Plus you can use the office room for storage. Check out the two links. one has a nice divider wall and the other a hidden bed(behind the mod fabric).

How about...
along all one wall in the bedroom: cabinets, bookshelves built in desk on one half a murphy bed on the other. A big sliding door (rolls on tracks hung from the ceiling) covers one half of the wall. So the uses of work and sleep are mutually exclusive. When you want to work you have to first put the bed away. When you want to go to bed you have to wrap up your work and fold up the desk. Think of it as architecture enforcing a practical level of discipline on your life.
In Bedroom
I'd put the office in the bedroom. I have a computer desk, an art desk, and all the subsequent stuff that goes along with both of them in my bedroom. Its fine, really. It motivates me to clean up my work and keep my bed made 😀
