While not as prolific as Quistgaard/Dansk, there are still quite a few Skj

Small teak animal figurines also seemed to have been popular. It appears these pieces were designed by both Skj

Games

As the above article noted, games were a large part of Skj

I love the inlaid dots pieces! I have never seen those before. I got the Chinese checkers game in the original box years ago at an auction (and sold it because I wasn't so into Danish stuff back then). I remember the box was rather plain.

I also got a tall owl at auction long ago but the head had been glued on rather badly. I gave it to one of my kids---it's the bookend version and she uses it even though the head doesn't stay on well. Thanks to that photo you just posted, I realized the head was strung on to the body with elastic looped through the eye screw in the head---a revelation! The elastic in hers probably broke and someone tried to just glue the head in place instead of peeling the felt off the base and restringing it. Now I can't wait to fix it! Thanks!

I have actually been collecting Skjode items for a while. I have some of the teak board games (Morra, Tower, Roulette, Solitaire and Con-tac-tix), a couple of rosewood Soma puzzles (with wood and stainless bases), the owl, some ducks and a brass super egg. Also have a great tray and both versions of pyramystery (which is my favorite!).
