Has anyone ever done a private sale to someone in Thailand? I have a person who wants to purchase my Eames chairs & asks if I can ship there. I'll be checking on extra shipping costs, but is there anything I need to be aware of with someone out of country? He'll be paying thru paypal.

There should be no risk if...
There should be no risk if you get an *instant* payment via paypal, ie not a credit card payment that can be recalled unscrupulously.

Any form of Paypal payment
Any form of Paypal payment can be recalled, not just credit cards.
It only takes the buyer to tell Paypal the item hasn't arrived..and bingo! they get their money back.
If you look at the small print about chargebacks, you will see that any shipping method to Thailand (and many other locations) is not 'verified' i.e covered.
You would have no recourse..no chair..no cash ..
I wouldn't use paypal for such a large international transaction.
A bank transfer would be much safer.

thanks
Thanks to all of you - I knew I could count on this forum to know the answer. I won't be selling them to Thailand.
Thanks again.
