As many who read these threads know that i comment about repoductions and consider my self somewhat a expert on all mid century modern furnitue ( i can spot a fake a mile a way ... yes i know its a gift) I have commented on the barcelona chairs how good Alphaville makes them and the LeCorbusia chairs... But I am always curious about a great number 1 copy of the Eames 670 lounge chair I have been to many trade shows at home and
abroad .... for me that is the USA as home base. I have never seen a great reproduction in this chair or as i like to say a dead ringer
has any one else? I don't know if it is because these manafactures are afraid of violating Herman Millers trade dress rights or just don' have a clue how to make the perfect knockoff, with the seemless sides and drop in cusions and rosewood (palanster ) in this case perhaps someone out there might speak up if they have ever seen a dead ringer i for one would like to know .

All World Furniture has their store in my area and they have a Lounge chair and ottoman that looks really good. The price is about $1400. I've seen other sites with the set made in Europe, but the prices are close to the actual Herman Miller. They also have the Alphaville products and their highly regarded Barcelona.

I don't know if any one knows it but as a wholesaler there is very little money in the reproductions. On most furniture you can still make a nice 50 percent mark up but because of the internet. brick and morter stores have shyed away from the reproductions cause there is just no money in them.
The stores have to be competative and sell a barcelona for a few dollars above what you can get it on the internet.. but with heat, light and power factered in it makes it very difficult ...if a store makes 200 on tht chair they are making a killing . that is why if you see a really good reproduction at this store they are expensive . Euraway in Dallas sells the fakeiest looking Barcelonas I have ever seen they look like they wipped them up them self. There wassley chairs look good for the money as so does there Eileen Grey table, Nothing else
