Hi all,
just wanted to share my finished project. I had bought a set of four moller 78's on CL that were in dire need of repair (only paid $50/chair!!). I stripped down the layers of fabric, foam and straps. There must have been a thousand staples to remove from each chair. I had a local furniture restoration shop repair several bad cracks and re-glue all the joints.
I polished up the rosewood to a 'like new' condition - none of the repairs are visible. Then I began the laborious task of weaving the paper cord. I wasn't sure it could be done but low and behold, the transformation was a success.

Looks great. Nice job on the weaving-did you do it yourself? I converted four from fabric to paper cord last year. Between removing the upholstery, pulling the 20,000 staples, banging in the danish nails and weaving the seats, its a big job. Congrats on a lovely result!
