relation between Braun and Wega?

Their 50s designs are certainly inspired by Braun but I don't think there's a connection between the two companies. Wega was basically a family-business and much smaller than Braun, if I remember correctly they used Dual components. Sony bought the company in 1975 and from then till the death of the brand japanese innards were used.
Wega had an individual look when they hired Verner Panton and Hartmut Esslinger (frog design) for design ca. 1970.
