Thanks for digging @lexi @wesemael and @leif-ericson ! I found this unmarked sold listing after following  wesemael's inquiry of possibly it being Bovenkamp. Maybe a marked one solving the mystery will pop up someday : )

@ponyboy i will look for a bovenkamp marked chair today here in Holland however now going towalk in the wood. Meanwhile @leif i coud again be very wrong could your  "MS" stand for Madsen and Schubel  Since some chairs are atribute to them or is this another M or wrong atributions?

@ponyboy @lexi @ leif

http://www.kunstconsult.com/nl/Meubels/Stoelen/Aksel-Bender-Madsen-voor-Van-den-Bovenkamp.-Teakhouten-herenfauteuil.-model-Tove.-ca.-1960

seems to me to be the chair (altough its not movable   ; -)

 the text says roughly  By Aksel Bender Madsen for Bovenkamp model Tove. Due to the popularity of scandinavian   design Bovenkamp decided to produce scadinavian designers under licence They chose for the designersduo Madsen and Schubell ... wich designs were timeless ...etc.. etc..

so the chair in question of Lexy is a bovenkamp aparently by madsen and  schubell I will seek another source

@wesemael

You beat me to it! I was also looking into the Madsen and Schubell link and found the same link you posted above.

Here is a similar "Tove" chair with the tilt mechanism.

Lexi.

ps; @Ponyboy  It might be an idea (if that would be of interest to you) to start a new topic with regard to this chair. This thread could go on for a while and a new topic might be the way to go in order to facilitate further discussion. I'm sure all related replies, from this thread, could be copied and pasted across.

If you do decide to take this route further pics of chair,as in, front,back and underside  ( to show the tilt feature and "norsk" mark) would be great.

This is looking very promising. I would really like to see a vintage document that says Madsen and Schubell.

@wesemael

I think what Leif is looking for is a manufacturers catalogue / brochure.

My search for "MS" has led me to 2 Madsen and Schubells !!

1) Bjarne Madsen and Hans Thyge Schubell ( the latter appears in the Danish furniture index)

2) Ib Madsen and Acton Schubell ( usually associated with chairs by Vik and Blindheim; Norway)

So we need to clear that up first.

The search continues. I have bookmarked many sites at this stage with related images/references and hopefully we can join up the dots eventually.

I have found two totally different chairs attributed to Madsen and Schubell ( no first names) with a leather label "Made in Denmark" MS attached to the upholstery.

Keep up the good work.....

Lexi.

Thanks everyone! I will take some more detailed pics this evening and start a new thread! I can say that my chair does not have this detail from one of the ads posted.
