An interesting toaster from Proctor Silex that seem to have bypass the factory decorating department. No faux woodgrain or decal with quaint country motif.

Came across this Thonet chair the other day. Style # 2057-SU7 made in the Statesville, North Carolina factory in 1964. It's a sample for a model that apparently didn't sell well because I can't find another online. Just thought I'd post it for reference. Looks like an attempt to introduce a little Danish style.

Spotted a Tato pouf/ottoman, one of the several by Enrico Baleri and Denis Santachiara from 1995. Now I need to keep an eye on a stray Tatino and Tatone to complete the set.

I messaged the seller over a month ago when they listed this ES104 for $24. This weekend they got back to me offering it for $14 because of the delay. It has some wear, but overall in really great shape. These are so heavy and really comfortable, despite what I've seen some say. Especially if lowered all the way - it's like a great reclining lounge chair.
That's amazing. Was this craigslist?
Yes, craigslist. The best and worst place on Earth.
Yes, probably Swedish. However, there were many different designers and manufacturers in the 60's. One of them were Ulla-Britt Alklid. There is a whole radio program on these trolls (in Swedish 🙂 on the public radio: https://sverigesradio.se/sida/avsnitt/878057?programid=4917
That Eames Time Life chair by frnturelvr is the correct version than the examples used in the sets of Mad Men TV show where the set designers did not pay attention to little details like the five star base and the 2 wheel casters by Jorgen Rasmussen which did not exist yet in the period setting they are trying to recreate.

Like Le Corbusier, I've always been a fan of the Thonet B9 and 209 chairs. Picked up this set yesterday for a very reasonable price. They are not Thonet, unfortunately, but a decent alternative as they were made by FAMEG in Radomsko, Poland. Thonet had a factory here from 1881 until it was nationalized after WWII. The factory resumed making Thonet designs in the 1950's and were tagged with paper labels with either ZPM or ZMG. FAMEG is short Fabryka Mebli Giętych (Bent Furniture Factory). ZPM I believe stands for Zakłady Przemysłu Meblarskiego (Furniture Industry Factory), and ZMG was short for Zakłady Mebli Giętych (Bent Furniture Plant). My chairs have ZMG tags.
Does anyone know why some were tagged ZPM and others ZMG? There's a note about the name changing to ZMG in 1959 and also info about there being two bent furniture factories in Radomsko that eventually merged.

Thanks @lexi ! Hopefully DrPoulet has some insight on this. Fameg is still in business and I emailed their US representative who responded this morning. She said they still produce a B9 model and she thought my chairs might be from the 50's. I asked her about the ZMG/ZPM question and she confirmed they were names Fameg had used in the past, but couldn't tell me the years they changed.
It doesn't really matter, it's just one of those little questions you think would be easy to find the answer to but isn't. My guess would be that they used ZPM up to 1959 then changed to ZMG, and then went with Fameg sometime in the 60's or 70's.
Nesting tables
@ponyboy; Some documentation on the nesting tables. An export catalogue, (courtesy of loppefund.wordpress.com).
Thought you might be interested as you mentioned they were "keepers"
No date on it, but the poster of the article reckons somewhere between 1967 and 1972,with the earlier date more likely.

Spotted this box last night hiding in plain sight. A minimalist coat hanger by Roald Steen Hansen included in MoMA's permanent collection. Two coat hangers unused in the original box.

Picked up this sofa, chair, and ottoman with chrome frames and sling-style cushions. The seller said he bought them new in the 70's and the manufacturer was "Liberty". The only Liberty I could find that was a potential match was a Liberty Ornamental Iron Ltd. of Toronto . They made some chrome furniture, mostly dinettes, back in the 60's and 70's but I couldn't find any chairs or sofas like these. Anyone know of another Liberty that could have made these?
