A couple of other questions
Is this chair quite rare? (has a yellow bikini with the same label as the other lkx-1 chair)
Since it has a couple of dodgy weldings is it allright to have them rewelded or leave it in the condition as is.

You stated
That the chair has already been re-welded at some point, so there is no harm in fixing those up now if they need repair. Generally speaking, these shells are notorious for breaking. You could look for one in good original condition for collecting purposes, but I personally would not use it much.

The address....
Correct me if I'm wrong everyone.... but if the bikini was original to this early chair, the shouldn't the address be 901 Washington Blvd, Venice, CA.
I've seen 2nd gen. shells with the 901 tag, but I've never seen a 1st gen. shell with the Redwood tag.
