Daft Punk table they did for habitat
I met that thing in person once, could not keep my eyes off it haha! Maybe a more cotemporary pick would be the Paolo Piva Alanda

great system, nice colors !
a very wise designer idea.
Could perfectly fit some interiors.
But one could also easily imagine the possibilities with some less square shapes.

Noguchi Rudder Table
It's nice (and quite a surprise) that Herman Miller has reissued the classic Noguchi Rudder coffee table.
Now THAT's a classic table. It wasn't in production very long back in the day and it's considered a rare table. How smart is Herman Miller to bring it back!

I love mine, which is
a brushed steel base that I got at an auction and a wenge top I had made for it, resulting in something very similar to the Florence Knoll coffee table. I don't have any photos of it with the wenge top, only these with the jatoba top that I had on it first (which I decided later was too red so I had the wenge top made which was really what I wanted the first time around but didn't have the dollars for it).
It's not as wide as the Knoll table, which suits my needs better.
I've seen these bases around a lot. They originally had glass or marble tops, I think.

Just googled the Daft Punk table...
I guess this is it. I also stumbled across this hilarious story involving a "Daftsplosion" of one of those tables.

Not a favourite but I like this, maybe you could find something interesting at a demolition yard or metal recyclers.
