I have an upcoming project that I will be using a polaroid for. DO you find that the different models and years produce different results? Or are they all pretty close? WHat is the best place to buy film?

The Impossible Project
I have been meaning to buy some film and try out some of my SX-70 cameras. The Impossible Project is producing new film for polaroid cameras. The website has a wealth of information which you may find useful.

Incredible website!!! I wish the fade to black film wasn't out of stock! It changes colors until finally it fades to pitch black. You can peel off the seal at any point to stop the process in place. How badass!
Question, have you used the ND filter? It is supposed to make more even shots? Don't know if I'd even want that ... being that the wonderful thing about polaroid is the slightly unexpected outcome...

I believe that the most popular Polaroid for artistic purposes is the SX-70 SLR with the full manual focus feature, using a split image viewfinder, and without the Sonar auto-focus feature like on the SX-70 model shown above.

Thanks Robert! Just downloaded that. I'm sure it'll be lots of fun to play with, but we're still dealing with pixels vs. grain...
Funny article, too!
I wonder why they stopped making this film? Around the same time they stopped making 2" inch tape for recording analog... I wonder if there is some sort of related reasoning there...
