i would encourage a quick visit over to the d.a. blog to view the 17-min. video of philippe starck with his thoughts on design and contemporary culture.

he makes a good point regarding the need to keep perspective on the role of design within the trajectory of the human experience.

i believe such a regular discipline of reflection, assessment and adjustment is vital to health and balance in life. it requires both honesty and courage, noble virtues in themselves.
