I don't know what these are, but they look like they were once cool. Now they are burgundy instead. Sheesh.

might be worthwhile checking how they were painted (and what sort of paint was used), if they were prepped properly it would be quite tricky to remove
if they have just had some emulsion sloshed over them without keying the surface I would imagine it would be a lot easier, the fact that the hinges have been painted would indicate a poor job

What a drag they painted the interior as well.
Nice enough to bother? i'm not so sure.
A good guess is the original finish created a nice
firm barrier coat between the wood and the paint.
Stripping could be rather easy but...
