does anyone know where to get info on original pearsall fabrics? just purchased an 889 sofa covered in zebra stripe! appears to be original as foam is crumbled and i see no leftover staple holes. if this is original it is in good shape and i will reuse,if it's not i can't wait to get rid of it. thanks everyone
There are no zebra stripes
in the Pearsall catalog (linked below) but that doesn't mean the fabric isn't original. The fact that there aren't any old staple holes is a good clue, but I would look further. Also, check the frame at a bunch of different points for old staple holes. Sometimes the reupholster is stapled well over the old holes or they're even on a different surface of the frame at that point, so you can't always just by looking at one small area.
