ooo is now an authorized kartell and herman miller dealer. They are here with me in Chattanooga.
Its the first modern store for us. The brick and mortar store is great. I don't know about their website as I always buy from the store.
(edited by Design Addict - no advertising please)
When someone mentions a website or store
it's not really advertising.
We've discussed Hivemodern, Unica Home, and Highbrow, which are similar good distributors of Herman Miller and Knoll, as well as other lines.
I didn't think that mentioning that other website as actually advertising...just a heads up.
On another thread, a person was looking for Bertoia chairpads and Highbrow was suggested.
You didn't remove that listing, Patrick & Alix. We weren't promoting the website, just letting someone know where it can be purchased.
I think it was the same thing at the top of this thread.
So, when is it acceptable to mention a business and when it is not?
its pretty obvious........
....when something is advertising and when something is not.....
initiating a brand new thread with "wefeeblysellwidgets.com" in the subject header and then clumsily going on to promote said website in the body of the post absent any context or segue is advertising in my opinion.
please note no one was talking about anything related near or far from the thread....
if there was a thread already going and someone was asking where they could buy something and someone genuinely responded they had a good experience at DWR or somewhere or something then, okay thats fair.
we all have BS detectors, and we all know when it goes off. we can split hairs about what is advertising and what is not.... but like good art, we all know it when we see it.
