Sometime its a shame to hide your books. There are books with great covers. Why hide them, show them.
What i did was. I have made a frame made of rvs sailboat parts and attach the books with clams.
I get a lot of positive reactions from my friends. I thought let others see what they think of it.

I like the general idea a lot...
... but wouldn't very shallow shelves accomplish exactly the same thing without the unsightly (and damaging) hardware?
Shelves would align the books more perfectly, too. Also, your current arrangement loads the upper-left eyebolt very heavily while the lower-left eyebolt is hardly loaded at all. Individual shelves would distribute the load more evenly.
I have no objection
to displaying books face-out so you can see the cover. Like a magazine shelf. But your construction seems like it will damage the books and you are limited by the binder clip to books of a certain size and weight. Plus, it makes it harder to take one down and actually read it.
It seems kinda' like those record album frames. A handsome display unless you actually want to listen to the record or read the book.
You have a nice idea there, but maybe you want to develop it a little further.

I like the general idea a lot?: You may have a point. But de design count for me.
I have no objection: My other idea is to make a movie slide show of the books en display this on a monitor on the wall.
