We had
an extensive thread on this, last year. If the glass has a slightly rounded edge and is thick, that's a good sign. I believe the metal pin is correct. There is a funny slight lumpiness to the profile of the "beasts" of wood that meet at the pin -- hard to explain. You can see it in this photo. Note also that the long straight edge at the floor and the top has a slight concavity to it -- to avoid rocking on the floor.
I wouldn't expect the glass to be as green as this example, from Vitra (the authorized European manufacturer).

Its interesting how older materials and processes are seen as the 'right' ones, low iron glass is much clearer. I think Barber Osgerby use it in their glass tables, perhaps its more expensive though.
