no I do not do this ...
no I do not do this kinda of work for a living.
I bought a shop 4 years ago with a partner and I specialize in modern furniture restoration, The rest of the shop specializes in boats and automobile.
I have fun with all the great furniture that comes across
the shop. but trust me you would not want me to pick up a staple gun or electric sissors, most of the guys here have had more than 25 years experience, and judging from the positive response we get, I think we are pretty good.

very good
I love how the buttons align with the pattern and are colored accordingly.
Funny how different the sofa looks in the Maharam. Less severe than the unicolored versions, fresher and thus very likeable in my opinion.

Same design I gather...
I'm just before purchasing this sofa. Does anyone have some info in this particular Nelson design? Obviously, this looks like the sofa offering...

Modular group sofa
That design is from the Nelson modular group. It is a later reworking of the ideas behind the steelframe group. Different configurations supported on steel bases. They were available as chairs, and two and three seat sofas, all with or without arms. You could also get them with a table attached. I really like the modular group. The are nice and deep with a generous seat width. Not as petite as a lot of vintage designs. The 3-seater sofas are nearly eight feet long. You can really sprawl out on them.
I have a pair of the lounge chairs and a three seat sofa, all with arms. My sofa has a segmented seat. They were available like that, or like yours, one long continuous form. They should have a tailored look with crisp edges. While the Girard fabric is cool, the one LRF had redone is too soft and doughy looking to my eye. The one you show Lunchbox looks nicely done and the seat pitch looks correct. If that is not done right, they are not nearly as comfortable.
We have two armless 2-seaters in our showroom that we just had redone and they came out nicely. One has an attached table. Nice little piece to complete a seating group.
I also know someone who has a gray armless 3-seater that they are considering selling. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to connect you.

Cheers, Pegboard...
I knew it had to be from his modular line, but I've not seen many of these full scale sofas. Mostly seen settees with corner/side table attached. Your set is gorgeous as well. I'd love to see my version of the sofa with arms. Never seen one.
EDIT: You said your sofa has arms so now I gather those photos aren't your stash. I'd love a picture of your sofa with arms, Pegboard.

Our modular group
The pair of lounge chairs with arms are mine. The gray sofa is the one I mentioned the owner is considering selling. Not mine.
Our 3 seater with arms looks like this one only a different color. It has the segmented seat. I'll have to take a picture of it.
