This nelson bubble floor lamp was given to me by someone who worked for Herman Miller for many years. The big puzzle about the piece is the base. Herman Miller says they don't recognize the number 148 on the base.
I know that Herman Miller made special orders from time to time. I can't imagine my friend buying a base elsewhere as he worked for Herman Miller for nearly 20 years.
Does anyone recognize the base. Year, maker etc.
