These chairs belonged to a japanese family who bought them as really nice danish chairs in the 1950's in japan. The mother always told the daughter they were worth a fortune(the family were really well off and a fortune to them wouldn't be anything cheap). Mother died and daughter hated them and wanted more traditional furniture. unfortunately they are not signed. There's a set of 6, two have taller backs and are made for the head of the table and 4 are like the one I have photos of. The bottom of the seats are solid teak built like panels. No marks or labels whatsoever...

Also picking up the table and sideboard from the people but won't have those till next week.

It's just a gut feeling but they look like they are Danish influenced, not Danish made. Perhaps they have been produced in Japan.

I have seen
Those, or ones very like them when I was in Japan. Perhaps H.moon is on to something.

I just noticed
Revolver vintage interiors just posted some photos of very similar (but not identical) chairs on their Facebook page. They attributed them to Dux. Might be a place to start looking.

Yeah been talking to jeremy @...
Yeah been talking to jeremy @revolver... Not slick enough to be dux plus seen tons of dux and it's a little too awkward for them... Thinking they are Japanese got the table and sideboard and the more I look at them the more pencil marks and handmade irregularities I'm noticing... Think it's a custom set... Probably why I spent 3 days looking everywhere for them... The base to the sideboard was never attached and if it was a factory made piece they'd have made sure that there were screws going through...
