Hello all -- as the end of summer heralds a new crop of community courses I have signed on for another upholstery class hoping to get through at least a few neglected relics in my attic. One of the chairs I will be doing is this small-ish Saarinen-esque armchair. I'm pretty sure it's Canadian, the only indication of origin was a washed out label on the inside of loose seat cushion stating that it had been made by the Featherweight Aluminum Products Co. in Montreal P.Q. I've pulled up some interesting things from the i-net but mostly just been lead away from the original search by other shiny objects ... anyway screw-on wood legs and an aluminum frame with foam and cardboard build ups under the old original upholstery. If anyone has seen them before I'd love to hear from you.
Cheers and thanks.
Susan
