I pulled these picks for the 1955 orson welles film "Mr. Arkardin. I am crazy in love with this chair. Any ideas on who designed this beauty? Oh yeah, great film too. I saw this film on tv and then looked it up on line. At the address below is the whole thing, free!

Of course, any of you that has one of these chairs is required to send it to me post haste. The chair on the right of the frame is no slouch either.

No, the movie is "mr. Arkadin" directed by and starring Orson Welles from 1955. Go to the website in my original post to watch it. The subtitles just came with it, the audio is in english. you can watch the whole thing on your computer.

It's been written time and time again
that Orson Welles films his 1950's european using natural settings and whatever was around at the time.
This scene was probably filmed at a hotel or home of a friend, so whatever furniture was there was filmed,
Much of Arkadin was shot in Spain.
By the way, "Mr. Arkadin" is one of guilty pleasures...love the movie. Everyone should run out and buy the Criterion 3-DVD edition. It even contains a soft cover of the novel!
